One thing I didn't really think about while I was pregnant was my post-pregnancy wardrobe. Silly me was dreaming of wearing all my "normal" clothes again, like cute off-the-shoulder tops and sun dresses... yeah, nope. Since I am nursing, I now look for one feature alone: boob access. Which makes shopping - especially dress shopping! - just as challenging as during pregnancy! Who knew, right?
My one saving grace as the weather is warming up have been shirt dresses - the ones that you can button (or more importantly in my case, unbutton...) down the front.
This shirt dress is one of my faves. It's cute and casual, but I think with heels or nicer flats and a blazer, and maybe a belt, it could be dressed up to look business casual.
I have the same one in white (if you follow me on instagram, you may have seen me wear it during out trip to Miami in April), and I bought a couple more that I'm sharing at the end of this blog post.
Here's Magnus, making his first cameo on momoetc!
As for these shirt dresses, to be perfectly honest, it's still a little challenging to unbutton with one hand while holding a hangry baby in the other hand, but I am just not ready to give up the idea of wearing dresses entirely this summer.
Anything for this little man (cue all the heart emojis) - and also a fun excuse to shop for dresses that I know I'll love even after I am done nursing. And how cute is his little jumpsuit?! We got it as a gift from my awesome boss and his wife. It definitely brings out his baby blues (which he got from his mama ;)).
